Any of the Apogee Databases displayed in the following screen can be accessed and
maintained from the Web.
Directory Maintenance
All Apogee Web databases have two browser “views” that provide quick access to information
based upon different relationships between the data. The first is the familiar Windows
Explorer-like representation based on organizational hierarchy:
The second representation presents data in a convenient List View, based on alphabetical
or numerical sorting:
Web Reporting
Report filtering is as simple as selecting the items in the tree to include in the
report. For example, you can select only certain users or specific call types if
you wish. Report formatting is also very flexible and easy.
Report Distribution
The Crystal Enterprise report engine allows you to view and print Apogee Web Edition
reports on a page by page basis using any HTML browser. Alternatively, reports
can be exported to a variety of formats and attached as email transmissions on an ad-hoc
or scheduled basis.
The Email Merge feature makes life easy. Instead of running individual reports for
every department, you can run one report over the entire organization and the system will
automatically email only the correct portions to the appropriate departmental managers.
Report Viewer Drill-down
For Users desiring to take advantage of the extensive management reporting capabilities of
Crystal Reports, reports can be emailed in Crystal Format. This requires installation
of the Crystal Report Viewer and its associated files on the client browser PC.
Viewing high level summary data within Crystal Reports protects the user from information
overload. Explicit details can then be viewed by simply drilling down (double clicking)
on the desired summary line.
