  Automated Dialer

The Automated Dialer module is a Computer Telephony Interface (CTI) subsystem that is an integral part of most Apogee Call Accounting Systems (refer to Apogee Feature Availability Table).  The Automated Dialer software has been designed to interface with inexpensive Dialogic hardware as well as with higher density Dialogic board configurations.  The standard Automated Dialer software specifically interfaces with low density, analog port Dialogic components and requires simple flash hook functionality in the PBX or key system to achieve its functionality. Higher density configurations or systems requiring digital interfaces with more complex answer supervision and call progress analysis are optional (contact SDT with your requirements).

The Automated Dialer is an incredible productivity enhancement tool for any organization but especially for those having departments with phone-intensive activities.   The Automated Dialer goes beyond speed dialing. There is no need to program the phone keyset, no extra cables, no modems, and no need to memorize esoteric commands.  Anyone familiar with Windows point and click functionality can operate the system within seconds.  Basically point and click on ANY phone number appearing on the desktop (not just Apogee apps) and the system dials the number automatically.  Additional functionality can be realized when dialing from Apogee apps – speed improvements, cross referencing Do Not Call Lists (DNC), pop-up memo dialogs, memo tracking summaries for specific clients, projects, or customers.

The Dialogic card(s) utilized by the dialer must be installed on a network PC or on the Apogee call accounting PC itself.   Each user accessing the dialer must have network access to the dialer PC.   When activated, the dialer PC places a call to the desired phone number through the analog (digital optional) line connecting the Dialogic card in the dialer PC to the phone system.  The call is then transferred (call supervision and progress analysis optional) to the extension initiating the call.  The TCP/IP address of the caller’s PC and the extension associated with the caller are defined in the Apogee Call Accounting SQL database tables.

You may utilize your own Dialogic hardware to work in conjunction with the Apogee Automated Dialer as long as model number and driver versions are compatible with Apogee requirements (check with SDT for compatibility).  PBX-specific modifications to the Automated Dialer CTI software are handled through standard installation policies and maintenance agreements.

The Automated Dialer boards can be purchased from SDT, starting at $199.
